AIBO Holds Joint Opening Ceremony for First Six Seminars of 2026

Implementation Department Ⅰ of Foreign Aid Training     March 3, 2026

On the morning of February 28, 2026,the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), MOFCOM held the joint opening ceremony for the first six training programs of 2026 and organized a traditional Chinese culture show to warmly welcome participants from around the world.

At the opening ceremony, WU Bin, President of AIBO, extended a warm welcome to all participants. He stated that through these seminars, all friends would gain an in-depth understanding of China’s practical experience in relevant fields, and deepen exchanges and mutual learning with a view to promoting common development. AI Yinfang, Deputy Director-General of China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges, MOFCOM, and ZHANG Yongqin, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Ninghe District, Tianjin delivered addresses successively.

Representatives of participants from Trinidad and Tobago, Kenya and the Solomon Islands also delivered remarks. They expressed the sincere gratitude to the Chinese government for providing this valuable learning opportunity and conveyed great expectation for the upcoming program agenda. They hoped to draw on China’s successful experience in relevant fields through study and on-site visits, and to contribute to the economic and social development of their respective countries. CHEN Runyun, LIU Rutao and ZHENG Le, Vice Presidents of AIBO, LUO Haixia and YANG Xia, Vice Chairmen of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Ninghe District, Tianjin, as well as more than 150 participants from 24 countries and the African Union, attended the event.

Following the ceremony, a splendid showcase of fine traditional Chinese culture was presented, featuring performances such as Yangko Dance, Lion Dance, Tai Chi Fan and Pingju Opera, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.

The successful holding of the joint opening ceremony and the traditional culture show not only marked the launch of AIBO’s China-aid training programs for 2026, but also vividly demonstrated the profound, extensive, open, and inclusive nature of Chinese civilization to participants from around the world. Since this year marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan of China, as Chinese government’s primary base for human resources development cooperation under its foreign aid program, AIBO will focus on the overarching goal of high-quality development, continuously optimize training programs, innovate forms of exchange, and contribute to advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
