On June 22nd, 2026, the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China successfully held the closing ceremony of the Seminar on Capacity Building for WTO E-commerce Negotiations (Fifth Edition) in Beijing. Vice President of AIBO Mr. CHEN Runyun, former Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Mr. YI Xiaozhun, Senior Programme Officer from ITC Mr. ZHAO Quan, attended the Ceremony and delivered remarks in succession. Ms. COLLYMORE from Trinidad and Tobago also delivered a speech as the representative of all participants of the Seminar.
Spanning 12 days, the seminar attracted 35 senior economic, trade, and diplomatic officials from 29 WTO member countries to China for training. In addition to specialized lectures and discussions held in Beijing, AIBO organized field visits to Wuhan, Hubei Province, allowing participants to study China's e-commerce development firsthand. The seminar yielded fruitful outcomes.
