On March 13th 2026, the joint closing ceremony of the first six seminars of 2026 sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by AIBO was held successfully.
President WU Bin, Vice President CHEN Runyun, the representative of the Kenyan Embassy in China, and over 160 participants from 21 countries and the African Union, attended the event.

In his address, President WU Bin extended warm congratulations on the successful conclusion of the six seminars. He noted that all the seminars, with a focus on the Belt and Road Initiative, fully demonstrated the significance of solidarity and cooperation among Global South countries. He encouraged all participants to apply what they have learned, carry forward friendship, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China, and advance friendly and steady development.
Representatives of the Embassy and the participants addressed the ceremony sequentially. They extended their sincere gratitude and spoke highly of the thoughtful preparation and meticulous arrangement of AIBO. The seminars have yielded fruitful results and exerted far-reaching significance. The participants gained in-depth insights into China’s development, broadened their vision, enhanced their professional competence, and forged profound friendship and extensive consensus. Endowed with enthusiasm and a strong sense of mission, they expressed their willingness to act as bridge of friendship, actively advancing friendly and practical cooperation between their respective countries and China as well as with other nations.

The successful convening of the six seminars represents a major achievement of AIBO in fulfilling national foreign-aid training mandate and advancing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation at the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It has further deepened participating countries’ understanding of China’s development philosophy and practices, providing strong support for promoting international practical cooperation, consolidating the foundation of people-to-people connectivity, and serving China's overall diplomatic agenda.
